ClarkDietrich Brings NEW Technology & Products to INTEX Construction Expo

Submitted by Mike Murzyn on

The biggest event of the year for walls and ceilings professionals is coming to Orlando, Florida March 27-28th and ClarkDietrich will be there giving hands-on demonstrations of  latest steel framing products as well as interactive tutorials on industry-leading technology that provides contractors more accurate job site layouts.

“INTEX is the perfect opportunity for us to highlight some of our new tools, technologies and systems, and this year we are truly excited to showcase how ClarkDietrich Engineering Services can help contractors be more efficient, eliminate jobsite hassles and even save time and money when preparing project jobsite layouts,” said Mike Murzyn, Technical Product & Marketing Manager, ClarkDietrich Building Systems.

Most notably, the company will be exhibiting the latest technology that allows contractors to truly bring BIM to the jobsite. Through a collaboration with GeoShack® (Productivity & Positioning Solutions) and a partnership with DAQRI Smart Glasses®, ClarkDietrich can now provide what no other steel framing company can - high performance products combined with innovative BIM systems that can leverage Robotic Total Stations and future development of AR (Augmented Reality) to provide real ROI on steel framing projects.

Today, ClarkDietrich’s Engineering BIM Team has the capability to add field points into BIM models for locations like: jamb studs, duct openings, corner studs and anchor connections. All points are added using Autodesk® Point Layout and are field coordinated using Robotic Total Stations like Topcon Positioning Systems. In the future, contractors will be able to use AR supported through the use of DAQRI Smart Glasses®.

These integrated systems can help contractors raise their profitability by saving time and money in preparing accurately detailed projects.  These systems with BIM allows the contractor to enhance their project coordination and collaboration.

“These new integrated systems are a real game changer for steel framing contactors and the construction industry overall, as we believe it’s this type of technology that will propel the industry forward by creating  greater collaboration and visibility, as well as efficiency within construction teams,” said Terry Westerman, VP of Marketing, ClarkDietrich Building Systems.
